Floor pan fun….

It’s quite difficult to make out but this is the main floor pan marked out and drilled. As sad as it sounds I quite enjoyed doing this bit, what I didn’t like was the bad back I had for nearly a week, this is part of the blood sweat and tears!!!!

More Rivetting

OK at this stage the two sides the front panel on the n/s and the front bulkhead panel are now bonded and riveted solid . The chassis is now upside down and ready for the floor pan !!!! its nearly a car?

prep work

As you can see from the picture above the first panel has been preped and is ready for fitment. The tape is there to protect the powder coating on the chassis.

One small leap for man

As you can see from the pics these are the very first steps. I thought it best to start with the smallest panel , feeling OK at this point. Each panel is offered up and fettled enough then scribed on the inside a hole is marked out every 70 mm drilled , deburred , [...]

After squeezing the chassis and three part body body panel into what I thought was going to be and adequate sized van I finally got it all into my garage . The trouble with starting a project as big as this is a slight reluctance to drill the first hole ! I’m sure anyone [...]
